Reyshawn Terry joins Ryukyu Golden Kings

The Ryukyu Golden Kings signed Nov. 7 a contract with Reyshawn Terry, a native of North Carolina, to play with the team as a forward. His first appearance on the court will be the home game against Kyoto Hannaryz on Nov. 23 at Okinawa City Gym.

Terry, who was born in 1984, is 202cm tall and weighs 110kg. He was a member, of the North Carolina University team, when the team won the NCAA championship in 2005.

He was picked in the second round draft by Orlando Magic, then played for Dallas Mavericks in the summer league, followed by top leagues around the world, inluding in Greece, Italy, Spain, French, Dominica, Korea and more.

Terry says, “I’m very happy to join the Golden Kings, and will do my best to make a contribution to the team.”

A Kings official points out Terry is an alumni of the North Carolina University, which has one of the most prestigious university basketball programs in the U.S. He was also picked up in the draft to NBA. He can shoot both inside and out, and is equally good in both offense and defense, and also has a clever playing style. He has a good set of skills that suit to all around plays on the court.”
