December is the party season with Christmas and New Year parties not to mention gatherings with family and friend. Naturally, everyone wants to look his or her best at these events, and a visit to a good nail salon is a given at least for ladies.

Nail salon One for Smile motto is great service, reasonable prices and speedy nail care, and that about sums it up. The salon thrives to live up to its motto. The prices start at ¥2,500 for gel nails, from ¥2,000 for shellac, and ¥3,500 for a pedicure. The prices above do not include tax.

The shop can make any nail design you like, including your own.

One for Smile owner Yukimi Maekawa has put a lot of thoughts on what her customers really want, and she came to the conclusion that, in addition to a reasonable price they also want a quick nail care and great service.

She has run her own business for nine years. She used to work at a nail salon in Tokyo before moving to Okinawa and starting her own business. While working in Tokyo, she learned many things about nail care and twice won an award in Airbrush Art at the International Nail Expo. Airbrush art is very delicate skill and it is one of her specialties.

The recommended ¥3,500 foot care includes a foot bath, dead skin removal, massage, and pedicure that includes two art designs. Removing the dead skin from the foot is very important, and it’s difficult to do yourself. Once it’s done professionally, the results will surprise almost everyone. This really is a treatment that deserves to be called ‘One for Smile.’

Maekawa also owns another nail care shop in Naha called Nail Studio Oasis. Her staff receives monthly training sessions to ensure they stay on top of their trade. Both shops have space for kids to play while the mother enjoys the treatment.

She says, “We don’t speak English perfectly, however, I am sure that our service makes you satisfied. I want our salon to have a long-term relationship with our customers. You are welcome to bring your favorite design if you have one.”

One for Smile is open from 9:30 to 20:00 daily except on Sundays. Nail studio Oasis is open from 10:00 to 20:00 except on every third Sunday.
