Three Kings’ players picked for first B. League All Star Game
The Japanese pro-basketball B. League just started this October, but it will hold its first All Star Game on Jan. 15th at Yoyogi National Arena in Tokyo.
The voting by fans for players in the game finished on Dec. 5th, and Ryuichi Kishimoto, Shuhei Kitagawa and Anthony McHenry were selected from the Ryukyu Golden Kings. Kishimoto was selected for the 1st place in the guard position, Kitagawa for the 1st place in the forward-center position, and McHenry was voted for the 2nd place in the foreign player division.
The election was conducted through a special website and it closed on Dec. 4th. The top four players voted for each category will appear in the All Star Game.
All three Kings’ players will play in the same team at the game. Other players selected by the league will be announced on Dec 20th.
