Drive into biker gets man attempted murder rap

A driver crashed his car on purpose into a group of motorcyclists Tuesday afternoon on Hwy 58 at Yafuso, Onna Village.

According to Ishikawa Police, 39-year-old Yutaka Takeda was driving his car with his parents on the back seat when he encountered a group of about 10 motorcycles and steered his bike straight into the first motorcycle of the oncoming group. The motorcyclist fell on the impact and the rider injured his right knee. His injuries are not life threatening.

Police arrested Takeda on spot on suspicion of an attempted murder. He is suspected of deliberately driving his car into the head of the group. Takeda reportedly has admitted to the charge, saying, “I did it because they frustrated me.”

The man who was driving the motorbike fell over and injured his right knee, but his injuries are not life threatening.
