Indian curry restaurant TAJ prides itself for its authentic Indian curries, and it’s authentic atmosphere where an all Indian staff cooks all of its delicious and healthy meals.

TAJ has currently two branches, one in Chatan on the first floor of Eagle Lodge and the other at Tengans, near Camp Courtney in Uruma City that is celebrating its first year anniversary.

Tarun Ratra, the manager of both restaurants says, “I’m very happy that we celebrate first anniversary of TAJ Uruma branch. It’s near Camp Courtney and many people living and working on the base come to have a lunch at TAJ. Chicken Butter Masala with cheese or garlic nan is the most popular lunch meal at our Uruma restaurant, as is the case with the Chatan branch, too “

Basic lunch with a loaf of nan and soft drink costs only ¥800.

Tarun explains that TAJ’s lunch menu that is very reasonably priced even though the portions are very generous. “We also have take outs available, and we advise customers to make call when ordering a meal for take out in order to avoid wasting their time, as we can have the meal ready for a pickup when the customer arrives.”

The restaurant serves lunch from 10:00 to 16:00 every day. There are four set-meals to choose from for lunch, priced at ¥800 for the basic lunch set that consists of a curry of choice, nan, salad and a soft drink; ¥900-lunch has one piece of chicken tikka added, and ¥1,100 version includes a piece each of tandoori chicken and chicken tikka. Soft drink refills are ¥200, and a children’s lunch costs ¥600.
