Koza Athletic Park is located on Highway 23 at the Okinawa Minami (South) interchange. The park is massive and athletic in every sense of the term. There is a baseball stadium that is used as spring training facility by the Hiroshima Carp of the Nippon Professional Baseball league, and also an indoor stadium that serves as home court for Okinawa’s very own professional basketball team, the Ryukyu Golden Kings. Additionally, there is a track and field stadium, soccer fields, tennis courts, fitness center, multipurpose field, large children playground, bullfighting ring and budokan (martial arts gymnasium). Koza Athletic Park is also home to the annual Orion Beer Festival, and he park’s bullring currently hosts the Peaceful Love Rock Festival. The bullring, however, will soon be torn down and replaced by a new basketball stadium to be completed by 2020—the future home of the Ryukyu Golden Kings.
