A man’s body was found Tuesday washed up on the shore at Sakieda, Ishigaki City,

According to the 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters, a couple from Osaka, both in their 30’s, has been missing in the area. A human right leg, apparently bitten off by a shark, was also found on the shore on Monday, but the male body is intact.

Yaeyama Police suspect that the missing woman has been a victim of a shark attack, but they as still trying to identify the male body and the leg pending further tests.
