A large wire  used for slinging up a caisson fell down on an 19-year-old man who was working at the site. of the construction of Shinko Terminal district at Naha Port. The work is related to the construction of the Naha Airport’s second runway. The accident happened in the morning of Sep. 1^st

The worker suffered a serious injury with a broken left shin, He is conscious in a hospital, and his injury is not life threatening.

According to investigators, somehow a small wire connected to the large wire was cut and then fell down.  It weighs  about 3.3 tons, and has a diameter of 12 cm. Workers were working on slinging up caisson at the time of the accident.
