The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force 15th Brigade Okinawa handed a 36-year-old Sergeant First Class of the JGSDF 15th Helicopter Unit a disciplinary discharge, Jan. 19th, on suspicion that he stole cash from a colleague’s wallet.

According to the JGSDF officials, the man took total ¥25,000 yen cash on two occasions from the wallet of his colleague while they were working in a hangar at Naha Air Base, last September.

The Japanese Military Police is scheduled to send the results of its investigation to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
