A car hit a 16-year-old high school girl at a pedestrian crossing on Route 85 in Misato, Okinawa City in the evening of Jan. 29th., and left the scene of the accident without stopping.

According to Okinawa City Police, the girl was crossing the road at a crosswalk at a green traffic light when she was hit and fell down on the ground.  She suffered some scratches on her right knee and right hand fingers. The car that knocked her down did not stop at the scene, and sped away.

Okinawa Police is looking for the car and the driver who left the scene of the accident.
