Okinawa City Police arrested an American serviceman on suspicion of diving under influence in Mihama, Wednesday.

According to police, a police patrol stopped 22-year-old Pfc Jonathan David, about 2:45 a.m. for speeding on a road in Mihama, Chatan. While questioning David on suspicion of speed limit violation, the police officer smelled alcohol, and a subsequent breathalyzer test showed that David had twice the legal limit alcohol in his breath.

Reportedly, David first denied having drunk alcohol, but later admitted to the charge.
