Naha police arrested a self-employed man in Matsuo, Naha City on a charge of an attempted murder on Feb. 7.

According to investigators, 34-year-old Takashi Dobashi stabbed his friend with a knife for an unknown reason on a street at 3:50 a.m. , Feb. 6.

Dobashi admits to the stabbing, but denies the charge that intended to kill the friend.

The victim was injured on his left abdomen that requires about one week to heal.

Naha police are investigating the motive.
