A woman walking home from her bank in the Akamine district of Naha City Sunday was stunned when two men stole her purse.

The 22-year-old woman told police the two men riding a black scooter type motorcycle came up from behind her, and grabbed her handbag containing her bankbook and ¥5,000 cash.  She was not injured.

Tomigusuku police are investigating the incident as a theft.  Police say the two were apparently young men.
