Kadena police arrested 28-year-old A1C Goa Terrence O’Quinn of Kadena AB, on charge of violating the Road Traffic Law driving drunk on Oct. 7.

O’Quinn admitted to drinking a bottle of beer in the morning, but said he thought alcohol already had dissipated, so he denies the charge.

Police say O’Quinn drove a car Highway 58 at Owan district in Yomitan village while drunk at 3:40 p.m. on October 7.

Kadena police say about four times of the legal limit of alcohol was detected in his breath when they administered the breath analyzer test

The car that O’Quinn drove rear-ended a mini-car that had stopped at a traffic light, caused an accident getting involving a total of three cars When the police arrived at the scene, a police officer detected the smell of alcohol in his breath.

No one was injured in the accident.
