Motorcyclist injured when hit by mini-car
A mini-car making a right turn at a crossing without a traffic signal crashed into a motorcycle traveling through the intersection, leaving the motorcycle driver hospitalized unconscious and in serious condition.
Uruma Police say the motorcycle driver, a 22-year-old male shop clerk, suffered a broken cervical vertebra and brain hemorrhage. The mini-car first crashed into a wagon-type car that had stopped ahead of him, turning right onto Prefectural Road 85 in Maehara, Uruma City. The mini-car then struck the motorcycle at the intersection, which did not have a traffic signal.
Uruma Police continue their investigation into the cause of the accident.
