The Terrace Hotel in Naha City is the recipient of a Green IT Award 2012 in ceremonies in Tokyo.

The hotel, along with Yokogawa Electrical Machinery of Tokyo, was recognized for grappling with energy usage by using Information Technology in a resort hotel setting.  The judges measured energy usage, analyzing and visualizing how improvements were being made.  The Terrace Hotel made best use of waste heat and optimum control of both cold and warm water heat source pumps used in air conditioning.

The Terrace Hotel was recognized for realizing energy savings in the resort hotel.  Total energy reduction in the 2006~2011 period was identified as about 286 kilowatts of electricity and savings of 69 kiloliters of heavy oil A.
