JAL, British Airways hook up with code-share flights

Japan Airlines continues to spread its wings since emerging from bankruptcy, teaming up with British Airways to add Rome, Milan, Bologna, Amsterdam and Warsaw into the data bank of cod-share cities.

JAL has placed its flight indicators on all British Airways flights between London and the European destinations.  Both are members of the Oneworld alliance, and the new relationship using existing code-share arrangements to the 27 destinations in Europe served by British Airways will be equally served to the European carrier.

British Airways will benefit on 17 JAL routes origination from both Tokyo airports, Narita and Haneda.  Those flights go to 14 international and domestic Japan destinations.

For Japan Airlines, the new segments bring the total code-share destinations within Europe with British Airways to 32 cities.  JAL says there will be additional growth steps coming in the near future.
