A passer-by found an unemployed 90-year-old man fallen into a 60 cm deep roadside ditch in the morning of Dec. 10. In the ditch there also was a bicycle that the man had apparently ridden on at a farm road in Nakao district of Nago City.

The unconscious man was taken to a hospital, but he died later on the same day.

Nago police are investigating the cause of the accident, but consider the cause of the man’s death natural.
