A man dressed in black from head to toe snatched the handbag from a 60-year-old woman walking on a road in Omoromachi district of Naha City at midnight, Dec. 7. The bag contained about ¥16,000 in cash and a cell phone.

After snatching the bag, the man escaped on foot. The woman wasn’t injured.

Naha police are searching the man’s whereabouts.

According to the police, the man is in his 40’s to 50’s, about 150 cm tall, slender built, and had on a black knit cap, black sweater, black denim pants and black sneakers.
