The cactus shisa of Okinawa World is every bit as fierce as its traditional brethren.

Flowers arranged in a variety of designs, including a large Okinawa lion dog, are highlights of an Okinawa World Flower Festival running through February 11^th.

of the Snake in the new lunar year.  Admission is ¥1,600 for adults and ¥800 for children.  The daily festival runs 9 a.m. ~ 6 p.m., with last Okinawa World entry at 5 p.m.

A commemoration photography site has been set up where visitors can have photographs taken surrounded by the many flowers.  Okinawa World officials say this is a limited time offer at the Flower Festival.
