A man driving a motorcycle with his wife on the back seat lost control, hit the curb and fell down on Highway 58 in Kitamae, Chatan, early Monday morning.

As a result of the fall the driver, 34-year-old company employee Shingo Noura hit his head strongly, and later died in a hospital.

Noura’s 30-year-old wife who rode on the rear seat was bruised but her injuries are not life threatening.

Police say the motorcycle was running south towards Ginowan when it for an unknown reason hit the curb on the left side of the road.

Okinawa police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
