MV-22 Osprey Family Day set for MCAS Futenma

III Marine Expeditionary Force and Marine Corps Installations Pacific are hosting an MV-22 Osprey Family Day for 300 parents and children from the local community at MCAS Futenma on March 3rd.

Families participating will be given a brief on the MV-22 Osprey’s capabilities, a tour of the aircraft, and the opportunity to ask questions to Osprey pilots and other subject-matter experts. “Families are important members of the community and the United States Marine Corps is dedicated to being good members of the local community in which our Marines and sailors live, work and raise their children,” says a Marine Corps spokesman, adding “An excellent way to demonstrate our dedication to the community is by providing this unique opportunity for families.”

The MV-22B Osprey is a U.S.- Japan Alliance capability that significantly strengthens III MEF’s ability to provide for the defense of Japan. “We hope this event will be well received by families who want to learn about the revolutionary aircraft, the MV-22B Osprey, he says”.
