The Okinawa Prefectural Police received an email stating “There will be a bomb exploding in a park in Nago City” in the morning of June 20.

Nago Police, Prefectural Police and Nago Fire Department dispatched 61 staff members to investigate all 51 parks in the city, but nothing suspicious was found, neither was there any explosion.

Police are now investigating the origin of the email on suspicion of interference in the official duties of police and other officials. The email was sent during the night between June 19th and 20th.
