Miyakojima City police arrested a local farmer, Jun. 11, on suspicion of stealing a baby goat and an unlawful entry.

The man has admitted to taking the goat from a acquaintance’s house. When investigators asked why he had taken the animal, the man explained that “The goat was so cute, and I wanted to feed it.”

According to police, the man broke into the shed where the goat was kept on June 6th or 7th, and stole the baby goat valued at ¥8,000. The man then gave the baby goat to another acquaintance for keeping, but the friend became suspicious, and contacted police.
