Attempted robbery at Tsuboya liquor shop
A robber broke into a liquor shop in the Tsuboya district of Naha City about midnight of Sep. 7th. He pointed a knife and threatened a female staff member of the shop, and told her to hand over the money from the register, He also reportedly said it’s OK to hand over just ¥10,000. But the staffer said no, and the would-be robber ran away with noting.
According to Naha police, there were just two people in the shop during the robbery attempt, the female owner of the shop and a female staff member. The shop was open at that time. Nobody was injured, and police are still looking for the robber.
