Kariyushi Group CEO Choukei Taira announced in an interview, Oct 10, his company is scheduling a new event called “Kariyushi Million Fantasy,” starting from Dec. 1, and continuing daily from 6 p.m. to midnight through Jun. 30 at Okinawa Kariyushi Beach Resort Ocean Spa in Onna Village.

According to Taira, during the period the hotel main building and its surroundings will be decorated with 1,400,000 lights. The plan also includes scheduled bus tours to and from the hotel throughout this period. In addition, the plans also include seasonal events as well.

The concept is “Lights that unite people!” Taira explained enthusiastically, “Out of the year, this is the period when we see the least visitors. We hope this will be a new tourist attraction, and a motivation for them to visit.”
