The winner of JU weekly raffle this week is Vina Salas, who won an assortment of Halloween stuff from at Room ONE variety goods store. At Room ONE boats the largest selection of Halloween goods on Okinawa, with all coming from Rubie’s Costumes Co. in the U.S., the world’s largest designer and manufacturer of Halloween costumes and goods.

Vina is originally from the town of Anigua on Guam, a little town west of the island’s capital. She has lived on Okinawa four years, and is scheduled to move on in July next year. “Okinawa has been a very good place to live for me as the weather and much else is almost the same as my home Guam,” she says, adding that she especially likes the friendly people and the colorful local culture. “I like very much to attend local festivals, and one of my favorites is Eisa,” she says.

Before moving on she would like to find an opportunity to visit Tokyo, as she has heard her friends to talk much about the big city.
