Asahikawa Redevelopent Co. of Naha City has finalized the renewal plan for the Naha Bus Terminal area, and presented the plan to the public, Sep. 30.

According to the plan, the new terminal complex will have one underground basement level and 11 floors above. The first floor will continue to be the bus terminal.

Among other facilities and businesses, Okinawa Prefecture Library will be moving in to the new complex along with private businesses.

The plan calls the building complex to be redeveloped to be “the base of knowledge and transit.” The construction is scheduled to be complete by spring 2018.
