The new Naha Aiport international terminal, currently under construction, will open Feb. 17, 2014. Naha Airport Building Co. President Yoritaka Nahashiro made the announcement on Oct. 17.

The new building is being constructed on the north side of the domestic terminal, to which it will be connected by a boarding bridge. The new terminal will have boarding bays for two medium-range or four small aircraft. The old building will close Feb. 26^th, 2014 and then demolished and turned into a parking lot. The new building has four floors. The arrival lobby will be on the first floor, the second floor houses the departure lobby and the immigration occupies the third floor.
