Okinawa public transportation is slated to become a little more consumer friendly. Okinawa Urban Monorail Inc. President Ryoji Nakayoshi announced Nov. 25^th the establishment of a new company on Nov. 22^nd called ‘Okinawa IC Card.’

The card that the new company issues is a ticket that customers are able to use to pay rides on the monorail and all bus lines of Ryukyu Bus Kotsu Corporation, Okinawa Bus Ltd., Naha Bus Co., Ltd and Toyo Bus Co.

The new IC card will be available to use for the monorail next September and from April 2015 in buses.

They will be sold in all monorail stations and bus terminals.
