Golden Kings promote Ladies’ Day at Saturday home game

The Kings have a strong female fan base.

The Ryukyu Golden Kings are climbing aboard the breast cancer awareness program, designating its Saturday evening home game as Ladies’ Day, complete with special prices.

The professional basketball squad is now in its fourth year of promoting the Pink Ribbon activities with a special event to focus attention on early detection and early treatment of breast cancer.  Ladies Day ceremonies take place during the 7 p.m. game Saturday at Okinawa City Gymnasium, when the Golden Kings take on the Bambitious Nara.

Ladies are being treated to the half-price treatment for the game, and offered unreserved ¥1,000 seats at the second floor level the evening of the 7th.  Men attending the game and sitting in those sections pay ¥2,000.
