Driver without license runs over pedestrian
A car ran over a pedestrian trying to cross Highway 58 in Matsuyama, Naha, early Sunday morning.
According to Naha Police a 36-year-old Tokyo man was crossing the street when a car driven by a 25-year-old office worker from Ginowan City ran over him. The victim was taken to a hospital where he remains unconscious and is listed in critical condition.
Police arrested Kyoshi Kedamoto for driving without a license, and on suspicion of negligent driving resulting in injury. He has admitted to all charges.
According to Naha City Police, the suspect was caught a few years ago driving under the influence, and had his driving license revoked.
