According to the Okinawa Health Promotion Division the seasonal flu epidemic in the prefecture seems to be winding down.

Officials at the division say that the number of flu patients decreased by 297 from a week ago. The new figures show that there were 1,650 persons with flu as of Friday when they numbered 1,947 a week earlier.

This has been the 3rd week for the count to continue to drop.
