Visitors from Singapore arrive on direct charter flight

A group of 260 of visitors from Singapore arrived at Okinawa, Feb. 5th, on a direct charter flight. This is the third time such a tour has been arranged since 2012. The Okinawa Tourist Service Inc. (OTS) organized the trip.

In exchange for the 260 tourists from Singapore, 280 Okinawan high school students flew to Singapore to visit that country.

The tourists will stay on Okinawa five days and four nights sightseeing the island and also have a scheduled meeting with Nanjo City Tourism Division representatives. High school students who are visiting Singapore on a school excursion departed on the 5th and will see the sights of the city state of Singapore.

OTS manager Dennis Tortona says, “We hope to attract many tourists from Singapore to Okinawa, and hope some day to make this a regular flight between the two destinations.”
