Starting April, Yaeyama Shokusan Co. Ltd., a local producer of chlorella health supplements, announced that it would start selling its products in the US market.

Up to now, the company has exported only ingredients of its products to U.S. supplement producers. This is the first time for the company to export their complete products.

In the beginning of March the company attended the “Natural Product Expo West” in California, introducing the Ishigaki Island Chlorella to the public.

According to a company spokesman, Yaeyama Shokusan Co. Ltd. is looking forward to expand its current distribution network of chlorella products that currently covers Asian countries, such as China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore, and is now adding the US.
