Ishigaki Island tourism officials announced on Apr. 11, that they have begun a free distribution of an electronic Ishigaki Island Guide listing the island’s sight seeing spots, hotel, restaurant and other information in English and Chinese.

The new guide is called the “Ishigaki Island Convenient Book of Living”.

This is the first Ishigaki Island guidebook to be totally translated into a foreign language. Since the opening if the new airport in 2013, the number foreign tourists and visitors has increased. Ishigaki officials believe that by making this type of information available, it would attract even more foreign visitors.
