And this week’s winner is…
The winner of this week’s Japan Update raffle was Ramon Techawudtipat. She’s a 22-year-old young lady from Thailand who’s currently living on Okinawa. She won a pair of tickets to the Ryukyu Philharmonic Orchestra Brass Quintet afternoon concert that she enjoyed on May 2.
Ramon’s hometown is Chaing-mai that she describes as a nice, peaceful and nearly ideal place for living a quiet and happy life. She has been on Okinawa eight months and is scheduled to move on in August.
All in all she likes her life here. “This place is awesome. I’m in love with Okinawa,” she says. She likes Japanese food and says that she has yet to encounter anything that she does not like.
“The best part of Okinawa is Okinawa itself,” is the way she puts it. However, while in Japan she would like to find time to visit Kyoto. “I have seen pictures of it in magazines and on the internet, and I’m really interested in seeing the place for myself,” she says.
