Okinawa Prefectural Police Community Safety Section announced May 15^th that the damage caused by fraud in internet banking within the prefecture totals about ¥18 million in just first four months of the year.

Compared to last years’ number this year is ¥5 million more. The number of incidents stands at three. The Community Safety Section advises people to always keep their software updated and in case they come across a suspicious site, immediately contact their bank or police.
