Naha Police arrested 63-year-old Michio Uehara on Tuesday on suspicion of an attempted murder.

Uehara, who works as a newspaper delivery man for the Okinawa Times, is suspected of attempting to kill his 56-year-old brother with a kitchen knife. He has admitted to all charges.

According to Naha Police, the suspect tried to stab his younger brother on the head in the afternoon on the same day in an apartment in Naha City.  A little later Uehara called police saying he had a fight with his brother and the brother was injured.

Police say the victim suffered some cuts but they are not life-threatening. Police also say the suspect had been drinking.
