Naha City has created a model of Ufujoumae (Ufujoume) Street and replica of the crown of the Ryukyu kings, and held an opening ceremony on May 20^th in the Naha City Hall, where the model and other items are on public display.

Naha Ufujou Street was the heart of Naha before the war in the current Higashimachi area. Many stores and markets lined the street at that time.

Many citizens attended the opening ceremony. The elderly had fun talking about the old days and youngsters tried on the King’s Crown and experienced a brief moment of living in the Ryukyu Kingdom Era.
