Ambassador Kennedy scheduled to visit Okinawa

U.S. Ambassador Caroline Kennedy will visit Okinawa on Jun. 23rd, to attend the annual Irei-no-Hi memorial service for those who were killed here during the war. The annual ceremony will be held at the Okinawan Peace Memorial Park in Mabuni, Itoman City.

It will be the 2nd visit to Okinawa for Kennedy after her first in early February. During her visit, a meeting with Governor Hirokazu Nakaima is being coordinated to exchange opinions regarding U.S. military bases on Okinawa.
