Okinawa City Police has recently received reports on Incidents, in which someone has physically attacked elementary or junior high school students.

According to police, four incidents targeting mostly young girls were reported by May 26, in which someone approached the girls and without warning punched them on stomach.

Okinawa City Police is investigating the attacks, but has not found any suspect yet.  In the meantime, the Okinawa City Board of Education and police advice children, “Do not go with a stranger even if he or she talks to you under any circumstances. If someone approaches to talk to you, run away as fast as you can and call police your parents or police.”
