Okinawa City has decided to relocate its public library to the first floor of the Korinza building in Chuo, Okinawa City.

City officials say the current library is cramped, and its relocation has been under consideration for some time. The new location in Korinza has 4,000 square meters floor space that is 2.4 times the space of the current library. The city is aiming to open the library in the new location in 2016.
