Orion Beer sees sales rise 3.8%

Folks at Orion Brewery have a reason to smile as their beer sales through the fiscal year that ended at the end of March showed that customers grabbed the Okinawan suds at record pace.

The books, published on Jun. 3, showed a 3.8 percent increase in total sales that came to ¥21.66 billion. Company officials called the sales figures of Orion brewery products in and out of Okinawa and foreign countries “satisfactory.”

By region, beer sales in Okinawa totaled 55,609 kiloliters and in mainland Japan 6,971 kiloliters. Sales in the eight foreign countries that Orion exports to, including New Zealand, totaled 1,408 kiloliters.
