SilkAir makes first flight to Naha Airport

A charter flight of SilkAir, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, arrived at Naha Airport Tuesday.  This is the carriers first flight to Japan.

Jumbo Tours of Naha and Follow Me Japan based on Singapore chartered the flight. They are scheduled to make two more round trips to Okinawa on Nov. 20 and Dec. 30.

Okinawa Convention Bureau held a reception party at the International Terminal Building, and greeted the 135 tourists arriving from Singapore. The visitors will stay until Saturday, and do sightseeing across Okinawa. On the return flight, 112 people got on board the plane from Naha.

A womn from Singapore, Jyo LiLi said, “This is my first visit to Okinawa. I am looking forward to see Churaumi Aquarium and Shuri Catsle.”

Okinawa Tourist Service is also scheduled to conduct mutual tours with a travel company in Singapore between September and December this year.
