A TV crew found an incense burner from the Monument of Himeyuri Students in Itoman that had been stolen sometime in the morning of Aug. 22, and reported their find to the Itoman Police on Aug. 27th.

According to the police, the missing item was found only about two meters away from its original place. It was lying down in the shade of rock. Itoman Police put it back to the original place, but some parts of its base were chipped.

A staff member of the HImeyuri Peace Museum did not see it was there when he reported the incident on August 22^nd. Itoman Police is investigating the incident on suspicion of theft.
