Okinawa Satsang Outdoor Yoga and Music Fest coming

The biggest Yoga and music festival in western Japan, ‘Okinawa Satsang Outdoor Yoga and Music Fest 2014’, will take place over four days from Oct. 31^st through Nov. 3^rd at Hotel Moon Beach in Onna Village.

Resort Hotel Moon Beach will be the venue of the largest Yoga event in western Japan when it hosts the ‘Okinawa Satsang Outdoor Yoga and Music Fest 2014’ from Oct. 31st through Nov. 3rd.

Okinawa is often said to be an island having spiritual power with great nature. On Okinawa, a variety of 58 yoga classes, including yoga related courses are held starting from sunrise and continuing through sunset and moonrise. More than 30 well-experienced yoga instructors are coming from all over Japan and overseas to this event.

Of course, classes are open to anybody from beginners to experts, and also including children and expectant mothers. For instance, starting with an early morning meditation, ‘SUP Yoga’, a stand up paddle board yoga on the ocean, ‘pair yoga’ that has people working together, and ‘acro yoga’ uses elements of Thai massage and acrobatics by working with more than two people.

In the evenings, the three-day music fest of yogic musicians will take place under the moonlight. Yogic performances include traditional Indian dance, fire performance with traditional Okinawan folk music sprinkled in between… by a variety of musicians will let your mind open and relax. On November 1st, ‘Yoga-Bale’, a yoga Balearic rave party, will be held as at the same location. The beach will become a Japanese version of Ibiza Island of Spain. Tickets are required for each class. Tickets must be purchased by the October 20^thdeadline through the festival website, or at the gate on the day of the event at the venue at slightly higher prices. Advance ticket prices range from ¥2,680 to ¥3.680 per each paid class. The three-day ticket to the open-air live music event is ¥7,980. There are free classes, too. They offer a healthy food service like veggie food, smoothies, and organic food as well as yoga wear on sale.
