Street robbery in Uebaru
A robber punched a man on the face Saturday evening in Uebaru, Naha City, grabbed the victim’s wallet and ran away.
According to Tomigusuku Police, a stranger walking on a street approached a 21-year-old man on his way to work about 7:50 p.m. on Oct. 25, suddenly punched him on the face and robbed him of his wallet containing ¥15,000 in cash. As a result of the attack, the victim suffered a minor contusion but was otherwise unharmed.
The victim described his attacker to Tomigusuku City Police as being about 170 cm tall and skinny built. He wore a hoodie and black pants. Around the location of the incident, there are some bars, but no streetlights and it was dark.
Police continue looking for the robber.
