Driver without license arrested for hit-and-run
Ishikawa Police arrested a 41-year-old woman for driving without a valid license and on suspicion of a hit-and-run after she collided with another car and left the scene, Nov. 26.
According to Ishikawa Police, Ryukyu University part-time teacher Gwen Gray rear-ended a minicar that was waiting at a stop sign on Hwy 58 in Nakadomari, Onna Village, and drove away from the scene of the accident.
The minicar had four people in it, and some of them were injured. Police were looking for the suspect car based on the number plate that the victims remembered, and arrested Gray the same day.
Gray claims that she was not driving the car and has denied the charges.
