Peach to start Naha – Hong Kong flights in February

Peach Aviation, one of the major low cost carrier airlines in Japan, has announced it will start flying a new route between Naha and Hong Kong, on Feb. 21st 2015.

This is the first time in 12 years that a Japanese airline starts service between Naha and Hong Kong. This is also the first time for an LCC company to run the route.

According to Peach, they’re planning to set the ticket rates on the route between ¥7,180 and ¥33,580 one way.  To begin with, the airline plans to run four round trips per week, to be increased to a daily round trip from the spring season.

Peach Aviation considers Naha Airport as its second hub in Japan after Kansai Airport, and is planning to increase the number of routes it operates from Naha. This will be Peach’s second international route from Naha Airport following its Taiwan flights that started in September 2013.
